Case against Kranti Sena members, other for harassing vendor

A case was registered against 11 members of selfstyled right-wing organisati­on Kranti Sena and 20 to 25 unidentifi­ed people in Nai Mandi police station of Muzaffarna­gar district on Tuesday night on the complaint of a vendor Prakash Chand who accused them of overturnin­g his handcart and threatenin­g him with dire consequenc­es, police said. The was registered under Sections 147, 323, 504, 506 and 427 of the Indian Penal Code.

In his complaint, the vendor alleged that a group of people, including Kranti Sena activists Manoj Saini, Amit Bobby, Bhuvan Mishra, Yogendra Sharma, Rajesh Kashyap, Poonam Agarwal, Ashish, Rocky, Amit Kashyap, Shailendra Sharma and Mohit Tyagi, came to him and asked how he had placed his handcart in the market on Tuesday evening. The vendor further alleged that when he told them that was selling “Mehndi” (henna) and other items for Teej festival (which was celebrated on Wednesday), they overturned his cart and threatened him with dire consequenc­es.
