We will request the district magistrate of Agra for giving relaxation on Rakshabandhan,” stated Agarwal. “The situation of Covid-19 has improved in Agra region, and as such the relaxation in corona curfew, restrictions on Saturday is a welcome decision. We, however, will continue to hope for such restrictions to be uplifted for Sunday as well and weekly closure on some other day coming in force,” said Shishir Bhagat, the convenor of Wake Up Agra. “Restaurants and food outlets receive most customers during the weekend, and thus Sunday should also be free from the weekend restrictions,” he urged.
“While thanking the chief minister for relaxation on Saturday, we are looking for relaxation on Sunday, August 22 following Rakshabandhan, which cannot be celebrated without sweets,” added Bhagat.
