HN Upadhyay, principal MD Shukla Inter College, an aided school of UP Board, said, “Close to 50 students of the senior wing in our school will come for the I-day event. Along with them, most of our teaching and support staff will attend the event.”
Similar arrangements will also be held at government schools across the state according to directives issued by the education department.
While some students will be called for the event in secondary schools, only teaching staff will participate in the I-day event in primary schools. The I-day event in schools will be followed by their re-opening for classes 9 to 12, across the state, from August 16.
Besides schools, colleges and universities across the state will also hold the I-day event. “We will have a flag-hoisting ceremony in the morning, which will be attended by the vice-chancellor and other staff,” said Lucknow University spokesman Durgesh Srivastav. “Some students from the NCC (National Cadet Corps) and other departments have also been invited to participate in the event.”
Both school and university managements have made proper sanitisation and social distancing arrangements for the event.
“The area where the I-day event will be held will be sanitised properly before the start of the event. Participants have been asked to strictly wear a mask all the time during the event and follow Covid-19 protocols like social distancing,” said Srivastav. its 100 years has imparted education rooted in inspiration, ethics, and intellectual inquisitiveness.
