‘Will get married once I settle on the work front’
Devoleena Bhattacharjee has postponed her wedding plans due to work commitments. The actor revealed last year that she was dating a businessman and had plans to marry in 2022.
However, things seem to have taken a different turn for her. “I was looking forward to having a wedding this year, but we haven’t talked about marriage yet. Touchwood, the relationship and everything is going very well. I hope everything falls into place soon,” the 36-year-old tells us.
“I never planned a wedding during the pandemic in the past two years,” she adds when pressed further about the reason. Bhattacharjee says,
“The truth is, we’re currently devoting some time to ourselves. He’s also preoccupied with his work. And I am also caught up with my professional commitments. As soon as we settle down on our work front a little, then we will be ready to get married.”
The actor goes on, “Jab bhi hogi, bahut dhoom dhaam se hogi. Sabko batake karenge. Chupke nahin.”
At the moment, all her focus is on her work and recovering from her injury. She had been hurt while performing a task on a reality show and had to undergo surgery. “I have signed some projects, and the look tests are going on right now.
Also, my injury is not fully recovered. So, my concentration is on that and working my way to recovery before I start my next project,” says the Saath
Nibhaana Saathiya actor, who hopes to start shooting for her upcoming project next month. “I have to be really fit and fine before I get back to the set,” Bhattacharjee concludes.
