DAY 1: “On the first day there will be a seminar on data security, for which, we have invited Deepak Shikarpur as the chief guest. Lawyers Prashant Mali and Raviraj Doshi will speak to senior officials of different companies,” said Rajendra Bhamre ACP (Crime).

DAY 2: “The second day will be on Intellectu­al Property Rights and digital piracy which will be addressed by actor Sonali Kulkarni, lawyers Hiren Kamod and Diwan” he said.

“People downloadin­g movies at home is a violation of the Copyright Act. The film industry, as well the government, is losing a lot of revenue because of piracy,” said Bhamre.

DAY 3: The third day will be about cybercrime investigat­ions.

DAY 4: The fourth the day will be on digital evidence search and seizure.

DAY 5: On the fifth day of the week, there will be seminars about banking and financial crimes.

DAY 6: The closing ceremony will have Nandakumar Saravade as the chief guest and lawyer Vaishali Bhagwat will speak about social networking. Bollywood actor R Madhavan has agreed to be the guest of honor.

“Every day we will visit schools and societies in different nodes to educate students about being cyber-safe and be aware to be secure,” said Sangeeta Alphonso, senior police inspector, Nerul police station and cyber law expert.

“We are also planning to distribute advisories, organise drawing competitio­ns to create awareness amongst the children too,” she said.
