Cidco’s socio-economic survey in planned nodes to start this month
CBD BELAPUR: The City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) has undertaken survey of households in nodes entitled ‘Socio-Economic and Demographic profile of population in planned nodes in Navi Mumbai’.
Such studies and surveys set a benchmark to progress of Navi Mumbai and the direction in which the city is moving. They will be helpful to policy makers, planners and administrators.
Cidco chief public relations officer Mohan Ninawe said: “Cidco has assigned this study to Research Unit, College of Social Work, Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai. The survey will start from third week of January and will end in May. Without the cooperation from citizens it will not be possible to get response and reliable data.”
He said, “Incorrect information will lead to a wrong database, which will result in faulty planning. The success of the survey depends on the quality of response from the public.”
Ninawe said, “The studies have played a key role in shaping up Navi Mumbai and will continue to provide guideline for the better future of citizens.”
Ninawe added that Cidco has appealed to residents for their cooperation.
“Investigators will approach them for the survey and people should provide correct and complete information,” he added.
