Last day of SIES film festival lauds young film- makers

The BMM department of SIES College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Nerul, organised the 13th edition of Frames Film Festival from Thursday to Saturday.

Actor Jackie Shroff also attended the concluding programme on Saturday.

The programme began with screening of award winning entries from previous year which had strong social message. The screenings were then followed by an interactiv­e session with Shroff. Shroff shared his 40 years of filming experience with the film makers and students; and he also motivated and congratula­ted the Team of Frames Film Festival.

After the session, the first category for the screenings was ‘Animation’ which was judged by two prominent animators: Kireet Khurana and Sachin Puthran. The second category for the day

was ‘Music videos’, with Kavita Seth, Tulsi Kumar and Shahid Mallya in the judging panel.

The day ended with prize distributi­on wherein all the winners of 13th Frames Film Festival were felicitate­d with certificat­es, trophy and gift hampers for five different categories namely: short films (BMM and non- BMM), documentar­ies, animations, music videos and ad-films.

“We’re happy to have taken Frames to a whole new level with many renowned celebritie­s, media partners and sponsors,” said Deepali Yadav, a student of the college.

“We’re divided by the spectrum of work but united by Frames and we’re proud to be part of this family. We’re proud of being a part of it, Frames bagged many great achievemen­ts this year one of which was the airing of Frames trailer on India’s number 1 music and youth channel, Mastiii,” said Pooja Dubey, another student.
