Last day of SIES film fes­ti­val lauds young film- mak­ers

Ac­tor Jackie Shroff waves to stu­dents at SIES Col­lege of Arts, Sci­ence and Com­merce, Nerul, on Satur­day.

The BMM depart­ment of SIES Col­lege of Arts, Sci­ence and Com­merce, Nerul, or­gan­ised the 13th edi­tion of Frames Film Fes­ti­val from Thurs­day to Satur­day.

Ac­tor Jackie Shroff also at­tended the con­clud­ing pro­gramme on Satur­day.

The pro­gramme be­gan with screen­ing of award win­ning en­tries from pre­vi­ous year which had strong so­cial mes­sage. The screen­ings were then fol­lowed by an in­ter­ac­tive ses­sion with Shroff. Shroff shared his 40 years of film­ing ex­pe­ri­ence with the film mak­ers and stu­dents; and he also mo­ti­vated and con­grat­u­lated the Team of Frames Film Fes­ti­val.

Af­ter the ses­sion, the first cat­e­gory for the screen­ings was ‘An­i­ma­tion’ which was judged by two prom­i­nent an­i­ma­tors: Kireet Khu­rana and Sachin Puthran. The se­cond cat­e­gory for the day

was ‘Mu­sic videos’, with Kavita Seth, Tulsi Ku­mar and Shahid Mallya in the judg­ing panel.

The day ended with prize dis­tri­bu­tion wherein all the win­ners of 13th Frames Film Fes­ti­val were fe­lic­i­tated with cer­tifi­cates, tro­phy and gift ham­pers for five dif­fer­ent cat­e­gories namely: short films (BMM and non- BMM), doc­u­men­taries, an­i­ma­tions, mu­sic videos and ad-films.

“We’re happy to have taken Frames to a whole new level with many renowned celebri­ties, me­dia part­ners and spon­sors,” said Deepali Ya­dav, a stu­dent of the col­lege.

“We’re di­vided by the spec­trum of work but united by Frames and we’re proud to be part of this fam­ily. We’re proud of be­ing a part of it, Frames bagged many great achieve­ments this year one of which was the air­ing of Frames trailer on In­dia’s num­ber 1 mu­sic and youth chan­nel, Mastiii,” said Pooja Dubey, an­other stu­dent.
