ENGINEER WINS TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION AWARD

Cidco has initiated Technology Innovation Award to honour efficient engineers who have been successful in implementing advanced technologies for various projects of the corporation.

Since its inception, Cidco has worked on many eminent projects. Advanced technologies have been used to construct bridges, roads, buildings and recreational zones in Navi Mumbai. To highlight the work of the engineers, planners and administrative officers and advanced technologies being used in various projects, Cidco has started Technology Innovation Award.

Mapara Yasin MS, has been honoured with Technology Innovation Award. He joined Cidco i n 1993 as Assistant Engineer (elect) and presently is working as assistant executive engineer (elect) in railway project department. He was felicitated by V Radha, joint managing director, Cidco.

Yasin is in- charge of electrical works of Navi Mumbai International Airport project and Navi Mumbai Metro, Electrification and 220KV line shifting work for Coastal Road, Dronagiri, Electrification of Pushpak Nagar, naintenance of electrical installation - suburban stations on BelapurPanvel Railway Corridor and electrical works on Nerul-Uran railway corridor. Various smart initiatives like energy consumptions, LED lighting and energy utilization have been taken up at Seawoods railway station and Metro Rail project by him.

Senior public relations officer Mohan Ninawe said, “He has been appointed as project champion for Smart City lighting under Greenfield and Brownfield projects of Cidco Navi Mumbai (South) Smart City.”
