CIDCO OPENS CENTRE FOR ELDERLY AT KAMOTHE

The elderly of Kamothe have got a centre to relax, play and interact with others.

“It will be a platform where the seniors can meet, play, interact, share their feelings and emotions and spend some quality time,” said Rajendra Chavan, joint managing director, Cidco, at the inaugural ceremony of the Senior Citizen Centre at Kamothe on Thursday.

Panvel MLA Prashant Thakur inaugurate­d the centre.

The Senior Citizen Recreation­al Centre is at Sector 20, Kamothe.

Kiran Phanse, superinten­ding engineer ( Kamothe and Kalamboli), said: “The constructi­on of the centre has been finished well before the completion date. The centre is equipped with indoor games like carom and chess. Comfortabl­e chairs, tables and seating arrangemen­t have also been provided.”

The built up area of the recreation­al centre is 30 square metres.

It also has a multipurpo­se hall with toilet facility for organising gatherings and cultural programmes.
