CLEANLINESS DRIVE AT NMMT DEPOT, APMC OFFICE
CBD BELAPUR: The NMMC has been organising a number of programmes in the city, under the Swachch Bharat Mission, which has witnessed unprecedented response from the citizens. A special cleanliness drive in government offices has been undertaken by the NMMC from March 1 to 15. A special cleanliness drive was undertaken at NMMT bus depot in Turbhe on Thursday, in the presence of mayor Sudhakar Sonawane and NMMT chairman Sabu Daniel. Over 100 officers and personnel from NMMT and 152 students of DY Patil University participated in the drive. A similar drive was conducted at APMC market’s administrative building, the offices and Sector 19 of Vashi. Another drive was undertaken at Turbhe ward office and its surroundings by the officers and personnel. NMMC chief Dinesh Waghmare said, “During the special drive, we are inspecting the cleanliness in the offices, the number of office urinals and rest rooms and the state they are in and also the facilities provided in them.” He added, “Based on the marks each office gets, we will declare the cleanest government office and building.”
