Shiv Sena corporator Mallesh Shetty, who represented ward no 42 Lokgram in Kalyan (East), was also the KDMC standing committee chairman.

The civic body had sent a notice to Shetty before the civic elections in November last year.

However, no action was taken as Shetty approached the court and submitted his nomination for the election.
