Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (NMMT) also has mobile ticketing service and free Wi-Fi for select NMMT buses in the city. Commuters can book NMMT bus tickets by using the Ridlr app on NMMT routes of 123 and 125. The service in the airconditioned buses was started on December 28.

The Wi-Fi service was started in two routes in January — route number 105 (CBD Belapur to Bandra railway station) and route number 123 (Kharghar Jalvayu Vihar to Borivli railway station). However, due to connectivity issues, the service has been discontinued.

We are in the final stage of launching the internet facility at bus depots. We might start the service on all 14 bus depots simultaneously or in phases. It has not been decided yet. SABU DANIEL, chairman of Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport
