CIDCO NODES TO GET NEW URBAN HEALTH POSTS
CBD BELAPUR: Kharghar, New Panvel, Kamothe, Kalamboli and Ulwe will soon have urban health posts (UHP). The centres will be run by Cidco’s health department. The UHPs will offer services of pre-natal care, mother and child health service, malaria and minor treatment. Since there are no government hospitals in the area, residents have to go to Panvel or NMMC hospitals or DY Patil hospital in Nerul. A Cidco health department official said: “The plan is to perform bhoomipujan in April and then complete work in six months. The tender process for construction has been completed. Five contractors have been selected for the five projects.” Cidco will get central government grant for the project.
