HANDWARA TEEN FORCED TO DENY ABUSE: MOTHER

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir HC on Saturday asked the police to cite the law under which they detained a 16-year-old girl, whose alleged molestation triggered violent protests in the Valley, leaving five dead. As the Centre rushed security personnel to the Valley, the girl’s mother has said the police pressurised the student to give a statement denying molestation.
