Second deadly quake hits Japan, 41 dead

TOKYO: Rescuers dug through rubble and mud, looking for missing people after a 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck a southern Japanese island on Saturday, killing 32 people and injuring about 1,000. The shallow quake hit in the early hours, sending people fleeing to the streets. On Thursday, a 6.4-magnitude quake killed nine people in the same area.
