INIFD VASHI Celebrates Annual Fashion Show IVANA 2016 & Interior Exhibition Saksham 2016

nternational Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) vashi, celebrated IVANA 2016, the annual fashion show by the graduating students on April 23, 2016 at Four Points by Sheraton, Vashi. INIFD Vashi has come a long way making its mark in fashion designing and interior designing creating distinct environment of excellence in fashion education.

The graduating students of INIFD Vashi showcased collections based on innovative themes and concepts, which included ‘Nawabi Khwaab’ inspired from the Lucknowi Nawabs the outfits, projected the heritage, culture and tradition of the royals. Similarly, ‘call of the wild’ were conceptualised keeping in mind the trends in animal prints. A few collections like ‘The khadi story’ and ‘paithani’ were influenced by the ‘Make in India’ concept and pride of Maharashtra. Ranging from inherently Indian inspirations to futurism the student designers were primed up to put their best foot forward.

Ali Merchant, the energetic host of the evening kept the audience enthralled with his wit and humor.

Nithyashree Venkataraman of the Indian Idol fame left the audience amazed with her medley performance.

The chief guests included ADV Pandit Rathod MD, AR Creations, Anil Khosla CEO, INIFD, Ashley Rebello, Celebrity Stylist & Designer, Ashok Daryani, Director, INIFD Vashi and Ria Daryani, Center Head, INIFD Vashi.

VJ Andy of Big Boss fame made everyone clatter with his humor and actress Giselle Thukral also graced the wondrous evening with her presence. Veteran actors from the Marathi cinema like Shirish Rane, Ashok Shinde, Maithili Javkar, Nisha Parulekar and many more pledged their support and cheered the students.

The evening affair was conceptualised by Aamir Aziz Khan. The fashion show featured renowned models like Sucheta Sharma James, Pooja Bhamrah, Nayaan Chaudhary, Shahnawaz Alam, to name a few choreographed by Parag Naringrekar. SAKSHAM 2016: THE INTERIOR DESIGN ExHIBITION

INIFD Vashi celebrated creative achievement by holding an interior designing exhibition Saksham 2016 to highlight the exceptional work of its students.

Students showcased the city of dreams ‘Mumbai’ in form of live setup where various aspects of this diverse life city were presented.
