Will take up NAINA issue with CM: Khadse
VASHI: State revenue minister Eknath Khadse has backed the builders on NAINA issue, saying he will take up the issue of delays in permission with the chief minister.
He has also assured developers that they would no longer have to run around for non-agricultural (NA) and other permissions as the government is simplifying the procedures to provide permissions at one point. Khadse made the announcements at the inauguration of the four-day mega property show—CBRE PropFair at CIDCO Exhibition Centre in Vashi on Friday.
Around 150 developers are participating in the four-day expo that is offering properties ranging from Rs9 lakh to Rs2.5 crore.
The expo has been organised by CBRE India, in association with young developers of the city who have formed Young Optimists of Urban Townships and Habitats (YOUTH).
Speaking to mediapersons, Khadse said, “The young developers of the city should be congratulated for putting up such excellent property expo. The new generation will bring new ideas to the industry and are backed by the experience of their seniors.”
Backing developers on the NAINA issue, he said, “They have informed me of the delay and problems they are facing in getting permissions in NAINA region. It has been three years since it was announced and is a major project in MMR of the urban development department.”
He said, “I will take up the issue with the chief minister and apprise him of the difficulties the developers are facing. I will also arrange a meeting of the developers and the chief minister.”
Dinesh Doshi, president of YOUTH, said, “We have had a great start to the expo and the right encouragement from the minister who has assured us that he will take up our issues with the chief minister.”
