No-parking proposed at Vashi Sector 1

Navi Mumbai traffic police has proposed no parking on the road between E type apartments and Ganesh Tower, located in sector 1 area of Vashi.
The residents had long been demanding action in the area.
Mahesh Lal, a local resident, said: “The road between E-type apartments and Ganesh Tower. is very narrow, Yet, motorists park vehicles on both sides of the road. This leads to major traffic snarls.”
He added, “Often, vehicles are parked in an haphazard manner, which makes it even more difficult to negotiate through the small road.”
“We have been having a tough time and have complained for long to the authorities. The traffic department’s decision will come as a major relief for us,” he added.
Deputy commissioner of police (traffic) Arvind Salve said, “We had received a number of complaints from the local residents. We have decided to declare ‘no parking’ on one side of the road.”
He said, “The side from MSEB office corner to E Type Owners Association gate 1 to 4 in sector 1, Vashi is proposed to be declared as no-parking area.”
The police have asked residents to send in their objections and suggestions to the proposal.
