Uran to get 24x7 power during Ganeshotsav

Uran residents are all set to get respite from regular power cuts this Ganeshotsav.

MSEDCL officials have assured the residents of uninterrupted power supply to the region during Ganeshotsav.

Uran MLA Manohar Bhoir held a review meeting on Wednesday of Uran Taluka Panchayat Samitis to resolve the problems that the residents face due to power issues.

The gram panchayats informed about the power problems in their areas.

The assurance from MSEDCL officials came during this meeting.

The officials also assured the residents that they will take steps in September to resolve the issues that cause regular power problems in Uran region.

Bhoir said, “I called the meeting to take stock of what can be done to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the festive season. We also discussed various power problems in gram panchayat and Uran municipal council areas.”

MSEDCL Panvel division executive engineer Dattatrey Gosavi and assitional engineer Pravin Sali too were present for the meeting.

Bhoir said, “It was brought to the notice of the MSEDCL officials that the power company has completed over 95% of the project at several places, however, the infrastructure is yet to be commissioned.”

He said, “The officials assured the residents that the pending projects will be completed at the earliest. They also guaranteed that there will be no power failures in the region during Ganeshotsav.”
