Complete projects on time: Vichare to railway officials
CBD BELAPUR: Member of Parliament Rajan Vichare inspected Turbhe railway station and Dutt Mandir railway foot overbridge on Thursday.
He later took to task Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) and railway officials asking them to complete development works in time.
The railway foot overbridge is being constructed using MP Lad funds and is expected to be completed by November this year.
Vichare was accompanied by Shiv Sena upneta Vijay Nahata and other Shiv Sena leaders.
“The issues that are regularly raised by the citizens should be taken seriously and they should be resolved in a time-bound man- ner,” he said.
He added, “Don’t clean the railway station only on the day when you know the MP is going to visit. It should be cleaned every day.”
Vichare meet NMMC city engineer Mohan Dagaonkar, assistant medical officer of health Dr Deepak Paropkari, Cidco chief engineer (special projects) Sunil Darade and railway officials.
He instructed them to urgently take up the issues of Ghansoli and Airoli railway route boundary wall, beautification of open plot in Nerul, boundary wall near Income Tax Colony, Eastern side ticket counter at Seawood railway station and Seawood-Uran railway route. cials, “Despite huge sums being sanctioned under MP Lad funds for projects, the files pertaining to them are simply moving about from one table to another.”
He said, “MP Lad funds are used at the earliest by all other civic bodies. Is NMMC allergic to MP Lad funds?”
He asked officials to ensure that the MP LAD-financed projects are taken up at the earliest.
