State wants tainted of­fi­cials dis­missed

MUMBAI: The state gov­ern­ment on Fri­day re­acted to a re­port by Hin­dus­tan Times on 15 gov­ern­ment ser­vants held guilty of cor­rup­tion by var­i­ous courts across Ma­ha­rash­tra are yet to be dis­missed, while 154 gov­ern­ment ser­vants fac­ing cor­rup­tion cases are yet to be sus­pended.

HT, on July 25, had pub­lished an ar­ti­cle “15 govt of­fi­cials guilty of graft yet to be dis­missed”. Re­act­ing to the HT re­port, the gov­ern­ment, in a let­ter, said “Chief Sec­re­tary (CS) of Ma­ha­rash­tra Swad­hin Ksha­triya had taken re­view of pend­ing cases re­gard­ing sus­pen­sion and dis­missal of pub­lic ser­vants trapped in An­ticor­rup­tion bureau (ACB) cases on July 20th when at that time 175 pub­lic ser­vants were to be sus­pended and 29 pub­lic ser­vants were to be dis­missed.”
