State wants tainted officials dismissed
MUMBAI: The state government on Friday reacted to a report by Hindustan Times on 15 government servants held guilty of corruption by various courts across Maharashtra are yet to be dismissed, while 154 government servants facing corruption cases are yet to be suspended.
HT, on July 25, had published an article “15 govt officials guilty of graft yet to be dismissed”. Reacting to the HT report, the government, in a letter, said “Chief Secretary (CS) of Maharashtra Swadhin Kshatriya had taken review of pending cases regarding suspension and dismissal of public servants trapped in Anticorruption bureau (ACB) cases on July 20th when at that time 175 public servants were to be suspended and 29 public servants were to be dismissed.”
