MO­BILE DEALER KID­NAPPED, ROBBED, BEATEN BY FRIENDS

THANE: A 22-year-old man from Thane al­leged that he was kid­napped at gun­point and beaten up by his friends and robbed of Rs 3 lakh at Bhi­wandi re­cently.

The ac­cused have been iden­ti­fied as He­mant Gulvi, 34, Satish Pahurkar, 24, Ve­tal Patil, 22, and Nitesh Patil, 22. The six ac­cused are from Bhi­wandi and are all farm­ers.

Vaib­hav and Sa­gar fled, tak­ing with them a gold chain, mo­bile phones, a gold bracelet and gold rings.

The other four have been ar­rested by the Thane crime branch unit 5. The po­lice have re­cov­ered Rs30,000 from them.

“A f t e r t h e i n c i d e n t t h e ac­cused fled and the vic­tim who went for search of the ac­cused. He then wrote an ap­pli­ca­tion to the Thane com­mis­sioner of po­lice Param­bir Singh. Af­ter a pre­lim­i­nary in­quiry, a case was lodged on Thurs­day,” said ad­di­tional po­lice in­spec­tor (zone 5) V Dalvi.

A case has been reg­is­tered with the Nar­poli po­lice sta­tion against the four ac­cused. They have been pro­duced in court and were re­manded in po­lice cus­tody till Au­gust 3.

Dalvi added, “We are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the case ahead and that all the ac­cused are from Bhi­wandi area. Their main aim to rob­bery was to earn money. Sharma was also threat­ened by the ac­cused by a coun­try-made gun, which is yet to be re­cov­ered.”
