Bengal woman jumps quarantine, infects four others
KOLKATA: A 29-year-old woman who wasasked tostay in quarantine at home, but violated the instructions and travelled by two trains from New Delhi to reach Tehatta, about 170km north of Kolkata, has tested positive for Covid-19.
So have her six-year-old son and nine-month-old daughter, and two other relatives.
MUMBAI: Maharashtra recorded 33 new cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) on Saturday, thehighestspikeinadaysofar,as the total count rose to 186. The action comes after a 60-year-old woman, who attendedthefunction,testedpositive for Covid-19. The man had come from Turkey, where he works, to attend the wedding. “We are also checking other guests who attended the wedding,” said RN Munagekar, senior police inspector, Vishnunagar police station.
