Two cattle smugglers held in Assam and West Bengal
GUWAHATI: Two cattle smugglers were apprehended and 312 cattle rescued by the Border Security Force (BSF) in separate incidents in Dhubri district of Assam and Cooch Behar in West Bengal. The smugglers were apprehended by the troops of border outpost (BOP) Pattamari in Dhubri and BOP South Chamta in Falakata, along with cattle, when they were trying to smuggle them from India to Bangladesh last night, said a BSF release on Saturday.
