Tatas in command after Pawar’s ton

MUMBAI: Discarded Mumbai opener Kaustubh Pawar struck an unbeaten 120 to help Tata Sports Club to 230 for six against Air India on Day One of the first round of The Times Shield at MIG Club, Bandra on Tuesday. Pawar batted for 257 minutes in which he struck nine boundaries. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Ranji Trophy stars — Shreyas Iyer (88), Akhil Herwadkar (33), Tushar Deshpande (53 not out) and Armaan Jaffer (72) — all had a fruitful day with the bat.
