Fire breaks out at Don Bosco school in Kolkata

KOLKATA: A fire broke out at the Don Bosco School in South Kolkata on Wednesday afternoon, but there were no reports of any casualty or injury, officials said. “A fire broke out in the terrace of the Don Bosco School near Park Circus in Kolkata at around 12.30pm on Wednesday,” an officer manning the Fire Brigade Control Room here said. Four fire tenders were pressed into service and the fire was controlled within an hour, he added. “Some construction work is going on in the building. Maybe, the fire was caused by bidi buds of the construction workers,” Fr Bikash Mondal of Don Bosco school, said in a press release.
