Hero Motocorp reports bestever quarter in history

NEW DELHI: Hero Motocorp, the world’s largest twowheeler maker controlled by the Munjal family, on Wednesday reported its best quarter in value and volume. It sold 1.82 million vehicles in the quarter, and clocked ₹8448.74 crore (15% up over last year) in gross sales. It also reported the highest-ever net profits of ₹1004.22 crore during the period. Pawan Munjal, chairman, MD and CEO of the company said that the quarter was a “defining phase” in the company’s journey, as the domestic market revived in the past two quarters. “We have also delivered on our commitment of further strengthen­ing our profitabil­ity by crossing the threshold ₹1000 crore in profits for the first time in a quarter,” said Munjal.
