PRICE CURBS ON MORE MEDICAL DEVICES SOON

More than 15 medica devices, including cardia stents, orthopaedic implants heart valves and specific drugs will be brought under The Lega Metrology (Packaged Commodi ties) (Amendment) Rules, 2016, i the government has its way.

The aim is to curb overpricing of devices. Officials from th Consumer Affairs ministry said order will be passed by mid March.
