Atharva slams ton, Dhanawade shines

MUMBAI: Atharva Ankolekar (147 not out and 4/26) hogged the limelight with an all-round performanc­e which helped Rizvi College thrash Siddharth College by 349 runs in the quarterfin­al match of the Saqib Rizvi Memorial Inter-collegiate Cricket Tournament.

Meanwhile, cricket’s wonder boy Pranav Dhanawade, who made it to the record books by scoring 1009 runs in an innings in a school match in 2016, made a notable 91 in Jhunjhunwa­la’s win over Khalsa College in the last eight encounter.

SHINRAI TOYOTA FIGHT HARD TO ENTER SEMIS

Shinrai Toyota earned a hardfought one-run win off the last ball against Future Group to enter the semifinal of the RCF Corporate T20 tournament.

Put into bat, Toyota were all out for 118 in 18.3 overs as leftarm medium pacer, Atif Attarwala scalped four wickets. Toyota’s Manesh Bhogale held the innings together with a knock of 55 in 44 balls. Chasing a relatively easy target, Future Group got off to a poor start as they lost three wickets in the powerplay.
