YOGI ORDERS OPENING OF YOGA WELLNESS CENTRES IN UP

After ordering to make yoga education pro gramme compulsory in govern ment schools, chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday ordered opening of yoga well ness centres in all Uttar Pradesh districts.

While the centres will come up at Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy government hos pitals in 40 districts, the state government will urge the Cen tre to grant aid for opening a centre each in the remaining 35 districts.

The CM also directed the offi cers to spread awareness about yoga and ensure participation of 51,000 people in group yoga exercise in Lucknow on Inter national Yoga Day (June 21.)

The state government is alos planning to set up a mode herbal garden which will come up near State Homeopathy Med ical College in Lucknow.

Also, an Ayurveda, Yoga Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) Uni versity will be set up for regular isation of academic session in al government and private ayur veda, homeopathy and unan colleges.

Under clean Ganga project medicinal gardens will be devel oped at State Ayurveda College Varanasi and State Unani Col lege, Allahabad.

At a presentation organised by AYUSH department, Yog ordered the setting up of special ised centres of Ayurveda and Unani method of treatment in Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Vara nasi, Saharanpur and Banda He also ordered for starting a post-graduate course in State Ayurveda College and Hospita in Varanasi, Unani College Allahabad, TT College Luc know, State Homeopathic Medi cal College, Lucknow and Alla habad.
