The Congress and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kej riwal demanded on Monday a strong and decisive response to the beheading of two Indian security personnel by the Paki stani army near the LOC in Jammu and Kashmir .

“What is this governmen doing? Does it not show lack of a credible political leadership in the country? Does it not show absence of a policy or direction to either tackle Pakistan or to dea with terrorism in India? What it really shows a serious lapse in national security on part of the present BJP government,” Con gress’ chief spokesperson Ran deep Singh Surjewala said.

“On behalf of 125 crore Indi ans, we want to ask when will the BJP government show its 56-inch chest to Pakistan? When will we speak to Pakistan in the language of red eyes that BJP used to speak about and its lead ership used to swear by?” he asked. The main opposition party sought a decisive action against Pakistan to deal with ter rorism.

“For how long will we have a complete vacuum in our diplo matic as also the strategic policy of dealing with Pakistan in ter rorism and when will BJP Gov ernment wake up from its slum ber. We have seen enough rhe toric and we have seen a lot o words. It is high time for a deci sive policy and a decisive line to tackle terrorism,” the Congress leader said.

Echoing Surjewala’s views Delhi chief minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kerji wal tweeted: “I strongly con demn the barbaric and inhuman mutilation of our soldiers. We must react strongly and firmly.”
