Arjun, Raja remain in top rung at Mayor’s chess

MUMBAI: Another fine performanc­e in sixth round saw Fide Masters Erigaisi Arjun and Raja Ritvik share the top spot with three others in the 11th Mumbai Mayor’s Internatio­nal Chess Tournament on Thursday.

Both Arjun and Raja held GMS Tran Tuan Minh and Kravtsiv Martyn to remain in top spot with 4.5 points respective­ly. They share the lead with Martyn, Tuan Minh and GM Amanotov Farrukh. The most notable performanc­e of the sixth round saw unseeded Sammed Jaykumar Sethe of Kolhapur hold GM Tukhaev Adam.
