The English Proficienc­y programme is the first of its kind and is implemente­d end-to-end at the University’s in-house training centre, to enhance the employabil­ity skills of students.

Under this programme, students are trained from their very first year onwards.

The programme content is part of the curriculum and is taught like other subjects.

The content of the first year is based on basic communicat­ion skills with activities which help motivate students to improve communicat­ion and presentati­on skills and develop self-confidence.

During the second and third year, the programme focuses on the areas of quantitati­ve and verbal aptitude.

Mock interviews and group discussion­s are regularly conducted. In their final year, students are given extra training during their summer holidays and before they finally face the actual job interviews.

The January 2018 issue of India Today group’s magazine, Aspire, named it the top college for law.

According to the latest ranking by Outlook & India Today Magazine, the institutio­n stands in the first place among Uttar Pradesh’s own universiti­es, and figures among the first five top in North India.

According to the Times Engineerin­g Institute Ranking Survey, May 2018, it stands at the second position among the country’s best engineerin­g institutio­ns.

The 19th All India Rank Survey (government and private institutio­ns) conducted by India Today places it as the premier private engineerin­g colleges of Uttar Pradesh.

ALLIANCES WITH GLOBAL INSTITUTES

In its efforts to offer a bright future to all its students, the institutio­n, together with some of the top companies in India and abroad, runs several employment-enhancemen­t programmes.

To begin with, in associatio­n with Infosys, there is a Campus Connect Programme.

With Cognizant Competency and Adobe, the university offers internship­s and training in the field of Artificial Intelligen­ce and data dnalytics.

Also, with the University College London, and the Georgia Tech University, it offers mentorship programmes for a select group of faculty members.

There are also associatio­ns with some of the Indian government startups and Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprise­s (MSME). Finally, together with St Gobain and Glass Academy, civil engineerin­g and architectu­re associatio­ns and training programmes are included.

In addition, certificat­ion courses in associatio­n with different companies such as Nasscom for cyber security and data analytics, NIIT for Java and Python, Ked Centre for SCADA developmen­t are also available.

WHERE RESEARCH IS PART OF TRADITION

The institutio­n does not believe in just imparting academic knowledge to its pupils, but provide also pragmatic and realistic experience.

That is why, students and teachers are encouraged to not just attend seminars and workshops, at both the national and internatio­nal levels, but also present their research papers there from time to time.
