The Kapurbawdi police have filed a case against Mangatpal Singh,42, under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Singh is a resident of Punjab.

A police officer from the Thane commissionerate said, “Last year, the woman got an interview call for the said job in October. Singh told her that he would conduct the interview when he would visit Thane.” The woman was called to a private lodge, where a spiked drink was offered to her.

“The woman, in her complaint told that she went for the interview because she was offered a good salary and designation,” the officer said.
