The classes at the School of Business incorporate lectures, tutorials, seminars, presentations, intensive workshops and project-based learning . Through the flexible Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), students can take advantage of diverse educational offerings while pursuing their own primary and secondary academic interests. Learning business in a truly global environment through course material based on Harvard Business School case studies gives students that extra edge.

INNOVATIVE TEACHING CONCEPTS

The School of Business is premised on the concept of outcome-based education, through which the faculty is able to structure their teaching around a student’s needs. Various teaching and assessment techniques are used during classes that are in sync with the diversity of the school’s students. This is a significant feature of the curriculum design in all the programmes at the School.

Besides classroom teaching, students are also exposed to online learning by offering them Swayam courses through NPTEL. The School has been among the first to adopt the ‘flipped classroom’ approach, where students are encouraged to access and internalise lectures and lecture material through online or on-campus library delivery and use class time for collaborative peer-to-peer learning.

To make students employable, the gap between theory and practice is narrowed through on-campus and on-site interactions with corporate leaders along with guest lectures, project work, seminars, industrial site visits and summer internships.
