RATE THIS TON SECOND TO ADELAIDE: KOHLI

-

MUMBAI: Virat Kohli exorcised the ghosts of the 2014 England tour with a century on the second day of the first Test against England on Thursday. His 225-ball 149, which included 22 fours and a maximum, kept the visitors in the game on a day when other India batsmen failed to score big. Kohli rated the knock second to his 141 in a lost run-chase against Australia in Adelaide in 2014. “I’m not too sure, but this could come in second to Adelaide. It (Adelaide) still remains special to me, because it was the second innings and we were chasing a target, wherein I had total clarity that we are going for the target. Not once did I think otherwise,” Kohli said during an interview with ‘BCCI.TV’.
