MAN KILLED ON SUSPICION OF BEING CHILD LIFTER

BHOPAL: A 27-year old man was beaten to death by villagers in tribal Dindori district on suspicion that he was a child lifter. Ten persons have been arrested in this connection, police said on Tuesday. SDOP Shahpura, BS Dhurve said the deceased has been identified as Mukesh Gond, a resident of Kui village in Anuppur district. The incident took place in Singhwar village under Samnapur police station of Dindori district, situated some 465 km east of Bhopal on July 28, but his body was found on August 1 when it surfaced in a farm well, police said. Police said during investigat­ions they came to know that some youngsters of Singhwar village were drinking on the night of June 28 when they saw a stranger roaming around the village. The villagers caught him and suspecting him to be a child lifter.

Centre to relieve CRPF from VIP duties

NEW DELHI : The Union home ministry has decided to relieve Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) from VIP duties and hand over the responsibi­lity to Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and the National Security Guard. “In order to ensure uniformity and standardis­ation in the specialise­d task of personal protection duties, the government has decided to progressiv­ely relieve CRPF from personal protection duties and assign this task to CISF and NSG,” Minister of state for home Hansraj Gangram Ahir told the Lok Sabha.
