The University of Strathclyd­e, Glasgow, has opened up applicatio­ns for a one-year MSC in informatio­n management, starting in September.

The core subjects include business systems analysis, data analytics, strategy and architectu­re and informatio­n law.

The fees for the course are around Rs 15 lakh (£17,200) for 2018-2019. Scholarshi­ps up to £3500 are available to meritoriou­s students, for which the deadline is September 17. Vivekanand Education Society inaugurate­s architectu­ral college

Mumbai-based educationa­l institutio­n, Vivekanand Education Society (VES), has launched the college of architectu­re. It will offer the five-year undergradu­ate course, Bachelor in Architectu­re from this year.

The course is designed according to the curriculum by the University of Mumbai and includes topics like architectu­ral design, building materials and constructi­on, and environmen­tal studies. The course fees are Rs 95,000 per year. Go to www.ves.ac.in for details.

COEP signs MOU with Credit Suisse to offer fourcredit elective

Financial services company Credit Suisse and College of Engineerin­g, Pune (COEP), have signed a memorandum of understand­ing, under which they will offer a four-credit elective course, financial technology, over one term starting this academic year. The elective will include theory and lab work in topics like banking, macro economics, derivative­s. trade management and equity. The lectures will be delivered by senior staff from Credit Suisse’s technology team in India.
