SC ORDER ON BCCI CONSTITUTI­ON ON THURSDAY

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Thursday will issue its order on how the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will implement the reforms suggested by the Justice RM Lodha committee in July 2016. The three-judge bench of Justice Dipak Misra, Justice AM Khanwilkar and DY Chandrachu­d had on July 5, 2015, reserved its order on finalising BCCI’S draft constituti­on. The top court’s verdict on the much-debated one-state-one-vote, cooling-off period and conflict of interest clauses could change the way the BCCI functions in future.

Ben Stokes termed ‘main aggressor’ in Bristol trial

LONDON: England cricketer Ben Stokes seems to be in trouble after he was called the “main aggressor” in a fight outside a nightclub at the hearing in Bristol Crown Court. According to a report in BBC, the Durham all-rounder allegedly knocked Ryan Hale unconsciou­s, then Ryan Ali likewise. Both Hale and Ali are on trial along with Stokes.

Shanaka’s quickfire 65 helps SL win fourth ODI

KANDY: Sri Lanka beat South Africa by three runs (D/L method) in the fourth ODI here on Tuesday. The win narrows the series deficit to 1-3 after the Proteas won the first three games to seal series. In the rain-affected game, hosts Sri Lanka had scored 306/7 in their allotted 39 overs with Dasun Shanaka scoring 65 off 34 balls. South Africa, given a revised target of 191 in 21 overs, ended at 187/9.
