APPLICATIO­NS OPEN FOR GENETICS COURSE

The University of Sheffield is inviting applicatio­ns for an MSC Human and Molecular Genetics course starting in September. The course is for candidates who are interested in human genetics and how genetic diseases are diagnosed clinically at the chromosome and DNA levels. It was developed in partnershi­p with the Sheffield Diagnostic Genetics Service (SDGS) and the organisati­on’s director and lead scientist for Constituti­onal Genetics teach as a part of the course.

Columbia University launches design challenge

Columbia University’s Fu Foundation School of Engineerin­g and Applied Science and Columbia Global Centers, Mumbai have launched an Urban Works Innovation Challenge 2018. Supported by the RMZ Foundation and in partnershi­p with The Cowrks Foundry, this three-year collaborat­ive design challenge brings together engineerin­g, planning, and policy solutions .

The applicatio­ns will run till March. The shortliste­d teams can also avail themselves of a techfirst collaborat­ive workspace at The Cowrks Foundry, located at Cowrks in Mumbai and Bengaluru for a six month period.
