ALERT IN ODISHA AS IMD FORECASTS HEAVY RAINFALL

BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha government Tuesday asked collectors in 26 of 30 districts to remain alert as several regions may witness heavy rainfall due to a low pressure area likely to be formed over north Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood. The collectors have been put on alert by Special Relief Commissioner BP Sethi.

Six killed, four injured in Bengal road accident

SILIGURI: Six persons including two children died in West Bengal’s Cooch Behar district when the SUV in which they were travelling hit a truck from behind past midnight on Tuesday. Four critically injured, including two children, are being treated in different hospitals, said Subhendu Mondal, sub divisional police officer of Mathabhanga.
