Pogba mum over Man United future

LONDON: Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba remained guarded about his future at the Premier League club following Spanish media reports linking him with a move to Barcelona.

The France World Cup winner, who moved to Old Trafford in 2016 in an 89.3 million-pound ($115.4 million) deal from Juventus, has endured a strained relationsh­ip with United manager Jose Mourinho. “My future is currently in Manchester,” Pogba told Sky Germany. “I still have a contract, I am playing there at the moment, but who knows what will happen in the next few months.”

CAIRO: Mohamed Salah has emerged the victor in his bitter dispute with the Egypt Football Associatio­n as the Pharaohs make their return after exiting the World Cup winless.

The Liverpool striker had clashed with his country’s FA over image rights violations and personal security. The stand-off escalated last month when Salah and his lawyer accused the feder- ation of failing to respond to a list of demands involving the player’s “well-being whilst with the national team, and assurances that the image rights violations wouldn’t happen again”.
