CENTRE APPROVES TRANSFER OF RCF PLOT TO MMRDA
MUMBAI: Union cabinet on Wednesday approved the transfer of plot owned by Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers (RCF) to Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). The MMRDA acquired 48,849.74 sqm plot for building Eastern Freeway- Anik Panjarpol Link Road (APLR) project.

MUMBAI: A 59-year-old retired BEST official lost ₹1.10 lakh to vishing a month after he received his credit card, with a limit of ₹5 lakh. The fraudster called the victim on the pretext of verifying his details. Within minutes of sharing his PIN, the complainant received alerts about monetary transactions.
Gold, cigarettes and saffron worth ₹3.77 cr confiscated
MUMBAI: Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials seized saffron, cigarettes and gold worth ₹2.73 crore at Airport Parcel Sorting Office. The items were concealed among other particulars such as computer processors and medicines. In the second incident, a flier was arrested while trying to smuggle gold worth gold ₹1.04 crore.
AI to fly direct from Mumbai to Frankfurt starting Oct 16
MUMBAI: Air India will launch its first direct flight from Mumbai to Frankfurt, Germany, on October 16. The flight will be operated on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. While the introductory executive class return journey fare has been fixed at ₹1.45 lakh, return fare for economy class will cost ₹43,000.
