MAINTENANCE BLOCK ON THREE LINES TODAY

MUMBAI: The railways will operate a mega block between the Borivli and Bhayander stations on the slow line towards Churchgate and on the fast line towards Bhayander from 11.00am to 3.00pm. On Central line, a block will operate between Mulund and Matunga on the slow line from 11.10am to 4.10pm and from 11.30am to 4.30pm between Panvel and Vashi stations on the Harbour line.

Sanjay Sethi is BMC’S new additional commissioner

MUMBAI: Eleven IAS officers were transferred on Saturday. Sanjay Sethi will take over as the additional municipal commissioner, replacing Dr Sanjay Mukherjee, who will be the secretary, medical education department.

Infant’s body found in nullah near police station

THANE: A seven-month-old boy’s body was found in a nullah behind a supermarket, 500 metres away from Kasarwadavli police station in Thane on Saturday. Police formed a team to establish the infant’s identity and the cause behind his death.

23yearold labourer held in Malad for harassment

MUMBAI : A 23-year-old labourer, identified as Sufiyan Khan, was arrested for allegedly harassing a 35-year-old lawyer over a tattoo on her neck near Malad railway station on Thursday. When the woman confronted Khan, he threatened her and also grabbed her hand.

Jewellery worth ₹10 lakh stolen from store in Kurla

MUMBAI: Gold jewellery worth ₹10 lakh was stolen on Friday from Kesariya Jewellers in Kurla. Police suspect two employees, who are absconding, to be behind the crime.
