This year’s look is all about surprise accents – gold, where you don’t often expect it to be. Check out gold-patterned wallpapers, gold-leafed chandelier­s, decals for the windows, tasseled curtain ties, statement clocks and gold-veined plastics that mimic the look of stone.

“Arranging smaller objects on a shelf or corner table to combine their impact single pieces together,” says Shivangi Shah, proprietor and creative head, Hive Home. Consider a small powder-coated matte gold chandeliwe in the kitchen or balcony too. “Chandelier­s are no longer just for the living room. And go for subtle pops here and there.”
