Air India, Central Railways make it to semifinals

MUMBAI:A last-gasp penalty corner goal by Arjun Sharma helped Air India hold Punjab National Bank to a 3-3 draw in a Group A match of the 14th PMC Bank-all India Guru Tegh Bahadur hockey tournament.

Air India, PNB, and Central Railway finished with five points each in the group, leading to the application of tie break rule, through which AI and Central advanced to the semis by virtue of better goal difference.

Results - Group A: Air India drew with Punjab National Bank 3-3; Group B: Central Secretariat, Delhi bt South Central Railway, Secunderabad 3-1; Group B: Indian Navy bt Western Railway 5-0.
