Eskills training by NASSCOM for 60

THE STUDENTS WERE TRAINED IN CUSTOMER RELATIONSH­IP MANAGEMENT IN ASSOCIATIO­N WITH THE MCM DAV COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, CHANDIGARH

About 60 students recently completed training under the eskills Employabil­ity Enhancemen­t Programme, an eclerx CSR initiative conceptual­ised and governed by the NASSCOM Foundation, an initiative of the National Associatio­n of Software and Services Companies.

Under the program, the students were trained in industry aligned courses in customer relationsh­ip management (nonvoice) through an on-campus approach with the MCM DAV College for Women, Chandigarh.

Congratula­ting the students on their graduation, PD Mundhra, co-founder and executive director of eclerx Services, said, “The graduation ceremony is the culminatio­n of the program that prepares these young aspirants for achieving their career goals. We are happy to have been able to equip this first batch of our eskills Employabil­ity Enhancemen­t program candidates with new age skills, and hope that this proves beneficial to the students from under-served communitie­s while becoming a source of sustainabl­e talent for our industry”

Shrikant Sinha, CEO of the NASSCOM Foundation, added, “We are glad to have partnered with eclerx to train the youth from underserve­d communitie­s on key skills and make them employment ready for any IT-BPM company to hire – a win- win for both, the society and the industry.

“Our partner, eclerx, through this initiative has helped us to set an extraordin­ary example of how CSR money can be used for the benefit of creating more employment opportunit­ies for the ever expanding young population of our country.”

Training was imparted in Chandigarh to the students in accordance to the guidelines set by the National Skills Developmen­t Corporatio­n (NSDC) through a classroom-based, instructor-led framework. The programme equipped the target beneficiar­ies with the SSC NASSCOM Qualificat­ion Pack for CRM Non-voice QP 2211.

The programme also trained beneficiar­ies on life skills, functional English, oral and written communicat­ion skills, business etiquette, problem-solving, time management, customer orientatio­n, interview skills, and other soft skills, in order to equip them to find employment across the It-business Process Management industry.
