AKHILESH YADAV BLAMES CONGRESS FOR NO ALLIANCE IN MADHYA PRADESH

BHOPAL: Claiming that a grand alliance of non-bjp parties like Congress, SP, BSP and GGP in Madhya Pradesh would have given it more than 200 seats in the state assembly of 230 seats Samajvadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav blamed Congress for absence of no such alliance in the state. He said Congress was willing to give them seats but he asked them to include BSP also in the alliance as it was a big fight against the BJP in MP but they didn’t listen to his advice and the alliance couldn’t take place. However, he said, “It’s good there is no alliance with the Congress. Now we can speak against them and expose their weaknesses.”

KCR promises pension hike if TRS retains power

HYDERABAD : TRS president and Telangana caretaker chief minister K Chandrasek­har Rao Tuesday said the pension of ~1,000 given would be increased to ~2,016 if the party was voted to power in the December 7 assembly elections. “I am appealing to all who get pensions, our government will come to power definitely. After that, ~2,016 will be given as pension to all, be they women, beedi workers, elderly people, widows,” he said at rally here. The pension given to people with disabiliti­es would be increased to ~3,016 from ~1,500, he said.

Owaisi accuses Congress candidate of bribery

HYDERABAD: AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has alleged that the Congress candidate in Nirmal constituen­cy in Telangana attempted to bribe him by offering ~25 lakh to cancel his rally in support of the TRS in the town, a charge denied by the latter. Addressing a public meeting in Nirmal on Monday, Owaisi alleged that A Maheshwar Reddy called a MIM leader on phone and offered to pay ~25 lakh as bribe to stop him from holding the meeting. Reddy termed the charge as baseless and said he would quit politics if Owaisi proved it.
