that I would do and then go back to something else. Art is helping me stay calm and it’s very meditative for me.”

She agrees that the Covid-19 pandemic has made many aware of their privileges. “Everyone should help in whatever capacity they can. I feel very fortunate to be in a position where I can help others. No matter what strata of society you come from, you’ll always be in a better position than someone else. Even if you can help one

Actor Aahana Kumra is happy to be reunited with her parents, after nearly two months of being separated due to the lockdown. She shared the news on Instagram, posting a picture with her mother who drove from one part of Mumbai to the other and back, to bring Kumra home.

Revealing the sequence of events, she tells us, “In March, I had gone to my sister’s place in Ghatkopar, from Andheri where I live with my parents. I was going to stay there for a week, when suddenly the person, you should go ahead and do it,” the actor says.

Sinha, who recently donated PPE kits to healthcare staff at a Pune hospital, says that though celebrities have the power to inspire the larger public, they shouldn’t be the only ones to bear the onus of engaging in social work. “We’re lucky to be public figures as we can convey our messages to so many people. I’m doing my bit and I believe that everyone should do their bit,” she adds. lockdown was announced.”

Kumra couldn’t even drive back to her house as she didn’t have her car with her. “My driver had dropped me off at my sister’s place. I’d think every day, ‘Today I’ll surely leave’ but that went on for two months. My sister is a working mother, and she’s got a threeyear-old child. It’s quite a handful for young parents — they have to work from home, which is a joke as it means no fixed working hours,” says Kumra. Hence, she was helping her sister with household chores. “My parents are above 65, I didn’t want them to drive all the way to pick me up. Dad said he’ll come, but he had undergone three surgeries last year, and my mom isn’t confident about driving. But eventually, she made up her mind, and took permission to come and pick me up,” shares the 33-year-old.

Making things tougher was the fact that the building where her parents stay had been sealed due to a Covid-19 case. “But she forgot everything when we reached home. She was like, ‘Yoga karte hain’. It’s good to see my parents. They were all alone, though having a cook was a big help. They missed having me around, I bring a lot of noise into the house!” Kumra quips.
