A GLIMPSE OF BIGGEST MARTIAN MOON
The Indian Space Research Organisation on Friday released a photograph of the largest Martian moon, Phobos, captured by the Mars Colour Camera aboard India’s Mars Orbiter Mission. The photograph clearly shows the Stickney crater, the most defining feature of the irregularly shaped moon. The crater is named after the wife of Asaph Hall who discovered Phobos. Three other craters -Shklovsky, Roche and Grildrig – are also visible in the photograph released by Isro.
